    HVAC Rebates

    Please be sure to select the quantity of the product for which you are applying. You MUST fill out the corresponding information for each item that you are requesting a rebate.  Rebate amount is based on SEER: 15-16=$100;  17-18=$150;  19-20=$200;  21+ = $250.

    The following limitations and eligibility rules apply:
    • The indoor coil and outdoor condenser must be a matched set and installed on the same date to be eligible for Central A/C rebate.
    • Central A/C units must be minimum 2 ton and minimum 15 SEER/14.3 SEER2 to qualify.
    • Central A/C rebate applications must have AHRI certificate attached.
    • Wi-Fi enabled programmable thermostats must be installed in dwellings that contain AT LEAST a central air conditioner, a central air source heat pump, a central dual fuel heat pump, OR an electric resistance furnace. Dwellings that contain ONLY a gas furnace or a gas boiler are not eligible for a rebate.
    • Programmable Thermostats must be Wi-Fi enabled, or have learning and reporting capabilities
    • Residential customers can only receive 1 rebate for all of the air cooling products.
    • Residential customers can only receive 2 rebates for all thermostat installations combined.

    This offer is only valid for Bay City Electric Light & Power (BCELP) residential customers and products must be installed in BCELP’s service territory. The BCELP Residential Rebate Application cannot be processed unless all of the appropriate fields in this application are complete. Rebates are paid on a first-come, first-serve basis. All rebate payments for approved applications are subject to the availability of program funds. This application is only valid for purchases made between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. All applications must be submitted to the program office or postmarked by December 31, 2024. Purchases made between December 23, 2024 and December 31, 2024 - determined by the invoice/receipt date - must be submitted to the program office or postmarked by January 6, 2025. Rebates will be credited to the electric account of the installation address. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your rebate to be credited to your utility bill from the time your completed application is received by BCELP. Incomplete applications will result in a delayed or denied rebate. Total rebate value cannot exceed the purchase price (before tax) and will be capped accordingly.
