BCELP Builds New Substation and Installs LED Lighting on Saginaw Street
In 2014 BCELP completed building a new substation on Saginaw Street. The new substation was built in order to upgrade old parts to prevent future outages due to the possibility of equipment failure. These upgrades will provide our customers with better reliability.
Additionally, BCELP updated the lighting on Saginaw Street to decorative LED lighting. Forty-one decorative LED light fixtures were installed with underground wiring in 2014. Seven more fixtures will be installed in the spring of 2015 to complete the project. In 2015 BCELP is looking to install LED lighting on Washington Avenue between Columbus Avenue and 10th Street and over the Independence Bridge. |
